State-wide Opportunity (subject to TAFE NSW campus availability) 

2 x Permanent full-time roles 

3 x Temporary full-time until 20 September 2026 

Total Remuneration Package $215,248 includes base salary $190,978 plus superannuation and leave loading.

About the role

The Program Manager positions are responsible for leading the program management, coordination and successful delivery and orchestration of several high impact complex projects that together transform the business towards an end state strategic vision. The position ensures effective governance and project controls, managing risks, interdependencies, quality and leveraging resources to maximize efficiencies and achieve required organisation benefits and outcomes. 

We currently have the following Program Manager roles available within Digital Solutions Group: - 

  • 2 x Permanent Full-Time roles 
  • 3 x Temporary roles till 20 September 2026

Day to Day Duties

  • Provide for strategic program management: must have experience with program governance (effective decision making), government policy application, government assurance frameworks, and Treasury business case processes 
  • Executive stakeholder management 
  • Manage several projects towards a common business goal and vision
  • Strategic project procurement: develop procurement strategies, and go-to-market approaches 
  • Vendor management (commercial aspects and relationships) 
  • Direct, manage and develop project managers and technical resources assigned to the program to deliver projects related to the outcomes and objectives of the program through its full life cycle 
  • Program planning, project controls and accurate reporting 

We are looking for specialisation in the following areas:

  1. System/application rationalisation (software, systems, hardware, contracts)
  2. Digital Core Platforms enablement/integration program management (e.g. ERP systems, SMS systems, CRM systems or other corporate/complex systems)
  3. Network Infrastructure refresh
  4. Identity and Access Management/ Zero Trust implementation
  5. Managed Services transitioning (e.g. infrastructure to cloud)

Highly Regarded

  • Strategic Program Management Experience
  • Previous program management experience
  • Familiarity with government procurement and commercial contract management practices
  • Familiarity with Treasury/Digital assurance frameworks
  • Previous experience as a professional project/program manager (PMI PMP certified, MSP practitioner, etc).
  • Previous experience with strategic program management (work towards a longer term 2–4-year horizon, considering people, processes and technology)
