About the role
Reporting to the Policy Manager and working as part of a collaborative, high-performing team, the Policy Analyst supports the development of strategic policy and advice that enables key reform initiatives across the VET sector. Your work will contribute to decision-making across TAFE NSW and government stakeholders, helping shape thinking around some of the most significant changes in the sector.
In this role, you’ll contribute to key project activities, analyse data, interpret trends, and conduct research to develop clear, actionable insights that inform policy direction. From drafting briefings and reports to supporting engagement with stakeholders such as NSW Treasury, the NSW Department of Education, and Ministerial offices, your work will help deliver high-quality, evidence-based policy outputs that support large-scale reform.
About You
You’re a self-starter with a growth mindset – someone who thrives in dynamic environments and takes ownership of your work. You’re curious, analytical, and confident navigating complex policy landscapes.
Ideally, you bring experience working within the NSW Government or a similar public sector environment, and you understand how to collaborate across departments and agencies to support strategic outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment where their insights and expertise contribute to meaningful change. You’re looking for a role that will stretch you professionally, with the support to grow your skills and take on more responsibility over time.
