Plant and Equipment Manager  

Full-time Opportunity until 27 June 2025 

 Preferred location Sydney Metro, Wollongong, Newcastle or Central Coast 

Total Remuneration $185,650 (Package includes base salary of $165,183 p.a plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading)

About the role 

The Plant and Equipment Manager is responsible for leading, managing, guiding and continually improving TAFE NSW fixed assets (portable plant and equipment and mobile training units) operations and “whole of life” services providing outstanding customer service, compliance, innovation and optimal value across all regional learning locations. 

About You  

Are you passionate about optimizing resources, driving efficiency, and shaping the future of vocational education? As our Plant and Equipment Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations across our campuses.  

You will possess strong leadership skills with the ability to build solid external and internal stakeholder relationships. Your ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders will be integral to achieving outcomes and adhering to asset management policy, processes and budgets. 

You should have a solid grasp of ERP systems (SAP preferably), AMS systems such as MS Dynamics, ServiceNow demand management system, data analysis, be adept at data manipulation, interpretation, drawing meaningful insights from complex datasets and data processes. 

Essential Requirements 

1. Degree qualification in related field or equivalent significant experience. 

2. Extensive experience leading and improving asset management services (planning, acquire, transfer, disposal, stocktake and audit processes) in a computerised environment such as SAP or Oracle. 

3. Demonstrated experience and understanding of accounting principles in asset planning, acquisition, disposal, depreciation and reconciliation and applied knowledge (or demonstrated ability to gain) of relevant government financial legislation. 

4. Demonstrated ability to engage with senior business stakeholders and apply strong verbal and written skills to management activities such as presentations, business cases, submissions, briefings, reporting, projects and tenders. 

5. Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description.
