About the role

TAFE NSW are seeking an Education Support Officer to work within the Automotive section based at the Coffs Harbour Campus. The role is responsible for providing support to learners studying Automotive (Light, Heavy Vehicle Mechanical and Automotive Electrical) courses as advised by a teacher. 

In the role, you will work closely to supplement the teaching activities by providing follow-up instruction as provided by a teacher and opportunities to practice skills to enhance the educative experience and engagement.

About You

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Have appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications such as the Certificate III in:
    • Automotive Light Vehicle Mechanical or
    • Automotive Heavy Vehicle Mechanical or
    • Automotive Electrical
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years post-qualification experience in the industry relevant to your qualification.  
  • Crucial to the role will be your high-level interpersonal and communication skills, including your ability to be proactive and show initiative.

Desirable attributes include:

    • Forklift Licence
    • First Aid Certificate
