About the role

We’re seeking world-class educators to inspire the next generation of Mechanical Engineering students. Share your skills and passion for your industry, build the skills, qualifications, and employability, and support the career goals of our students. 

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Diploma of Engineering Technical or relevant qualification or experience
  • Hold appropriate subject knowledge, skills in the discipline and a commitment to maintain technical currency
  • Have a minimum of three years post-qualification experience in industry relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously
  • Evidence of holding the appropriate teaching qualifications to deliver Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details
  • Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.

The following is desirable, but no mandatory:

  • A degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Certificate IV in Drafting or a related field
