$135,320 ($119,757 - $132,188 pa plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading)

About the role

The Occupational Hygienist is responsible for driving occupational health hygiene and wellbeing practices for TAFE NSW staff and learners. This will be achieved through the development and implementation of a health monitoring framework, including performance standards associated with guidance documentation and audit tools in compliance with the Work Health and Safety legislation, regulations and relevant Codes of Practice

About You 

You possess a background in science, health, or medicine, with a strong understanding of Work Health and Safety laws and regulations. You are skilled at identifying, assessing, and prioritising occupational health, hygiene, and wellbeing concerns, offering well-informed guidance.

You bring experience in delivering expert advice grounded in thorough research, contributing to the creation, implementation, and evaluation of risk management strategies, while ensuring continuous monitoring for effectiveness.

You are a team player who collaborates with key stakeholders, offering specialised advice and proactively identifying and addressing potential hazards and risks.

Highly Regarded:

  • Recognised as a current Certified Occupational Hygienist by the AIOH or hold a full membership with the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygiene (AIOH).
  • Hold a current drivers licence
  • Have ability to travel to TAFENSW sites within NSW as required
